Melinda Tennison is an award-winning writer whose first poem Rauschenberg Mural, was featured on the artist plaque accompanying Robert Rauschenberg's mural Periwinkle Shaft during its 25 year installation at Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C. In Asheville, Melinda teaches expressive writing and facilitates workshops in conjunction with Asheville Wordfest and other events. She is currently developing a children's picture book about the healing power of art. Her nonfiction has appeared in The Washington Post, Rapid River Arts & Culture, and Details. She also writes collaboratively with inventor/composer Paul Vo as Special Projects Coordinator for Paul Vo Music.
